13th National Voters' Day (NVD), a district level programme was organised at Bongaigaon District Library with the New Voters, Students, AEROs, BLOs and Nehru Yuva Kendra Volunteers of Bongaigoan LAC. The theme of this year’s NVD is “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure”. The programme was graced by Sri. Nabadeep Pathak, ACS, Deputy Commissioner Bongaigaon, Sri Bhaskar Das, ACS, DDC , Sri Goneshwar Dev Sarma, District Election Icon and Smt. Navanita Hazarika, ACS, Election Officer, Bongaigaon.
Apart from this, NVD, 2023 was celebrated in all the Polling Stations of the District by the AEROs , BLO Supervisors and BLOs. The NVD Pledge was administered among the electors and badges were distributed in all Polling stations as well as in the District Headquarter Programme.
It is also to be mentioned that Sri. Phanish Narayan Dev, BLO of Ps 228 - Purani Bongaigaon Uccha Buniyadi Vidyalaya (North Side), Bongaigaon LAC has been selected as the Best BLO of Assam by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam. Today on the occassion of National Voters Day, Sri. Phanish Narayan Dev was awarded the prestigious award at State Level NVD Programme in Guwahati.
